Progress Report

So today is Day 42, also known as "The Last Day of 1-2." Okay, okay; yesterday was supposed to be my last day of 1-2 (if you follow the Excel spreadsheet. WOWY had 3-4 starting on Day 31, and the original calendar starts 3-4 on Day 45 when Power 90 would be half over), but I missed the workouts for Friday and Saturday because...well, work has me bloody exhausted. Anyway, I had to do a double on what was originally supposed to be my rest day.


So what can I say about the first half of Power 90? Well, I still flippin' hate push-ups. I've gotten better, but I still can't do close-gripped ones to save my life. I no longer fall over when going from raising my leg to Runners' Pose in yoga, but it does still take some adjusting to do Runners' Pose with proper form. I've also improved my dips - I made it all the way through those "reverse chair push-ups from Hell" for the first time today! - and my run lunges. What? I never mentioned run lunges? I described them to someone as moving as if you are on an elliptical machine, but you actually aren't. This is the closest video that I could find. However, you don't go down anywhere near where you would in a regular lunge.

Anything else? Well, I enjoy kicking. Maybe as much as I hate push-ups. Ab Ripper 100 goes by a lot faster when you breathe throughout it - even though that full body crunch is still a little tough.

Nutrition...I've started taking be-HOT, the women's fitness vita-pak from GNC, but I'm not sure if it's actually helping me. I also might be in the market for a new protein because Aria tastes HORRENDOUS when mixed with water - when it DOES mix. I might try it mixed with my blueberry juice, but honestly I doubt it. It even got so clumpy that I couldn't clean the ball in my Blender Bottle! So I need to get two more of those, as well. I have still been cheating after work, unfortunately, but at least I've been making better choices lately. Instead of going to Mickey D's, I've been hitting up the grocery store deli for something healthier - unless my stomach is growling really loud and I feel uncomfortable getting out of the car. Then, I opt for McNuggets with Sweet-and-Sour sauce and a small Hi-C (I've been having orange soda cravings lately).
